HRCC is an Assemblies of God church and adheres to its official statement of beliefs.
Here is a condensed version of how we practice the faith at HRCC.
We believe the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and are the trustworthy and authoritative foundation for our faith and conduct. Through Scripture, God reveals himself, tells the story of redemption, and leads us toward Jesus.

We believe there is one true God, the Creator and Redeemer of all things, eternally revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, demonstrated the kingdom of God through his words and works, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, reigns as Lord, and will return.

Every person is created in God’s image and possesses immeasurable dignity. Yet humanity has rebelled against God, leaving us corrupted by sin, separated from him, and unable to rescue ourselves.

God offers forgiveness and new life through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Salvation is received by grace through repentance and faith—not earned by religious effort. Through Christ, we are reconciled to God, adopted into his family, and made new by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus gave the church two practices that visibly proclaim the gospel: water baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
In baptism, believers publicly identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus and declare their intention to follow him.
In Communion, we remember and proclaim Jesus’ death, examine ourselves, participate together in Christ, and anticipate his return.

We believe Jesus continues to baptize believers in the Holy Spirit, empowering us to bear witness, serve others, and participate in his mission. The Spirit continues to fill, gift, and send the church into the world.
As part of the Pentecostal tradition, we take seriously the repeated connection between Spirit baptism and speaking in tongues in Acts. We encourage every believer to seek the gifts of the Spirit and exercise them as the Spirit enables, for the strengthening of the church and the sake of its mission.

We believe salvation is both a decisive moment and a lifelong process. When we place our faith in Jesus, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, and made new. From that moment forward, the Holy Spirit continues healing us from the effects of sin and forming us into the likeness of Jesus.
Spiritual maturity is a lifelong work of grace as we learn to trust Jesus, practice his way of life, turn from sin, and cooperate with the Spirit.

We believe God still heals and that we are invited to pray for the sick with faith and compassion. God heals miraculously, medically, progressively, and ultimately. We ask confidently because Jesus revealed God’s power and concern for the whole person.
We also recognize that healing does not always happen when or how we hope. We continue praying, caring, and trusting God’s goodness while looking toward the resurrection, when suffering and death will finally be overcome.

We believe Jesus will return personally, visibly, and gloriously. He will raise the dead, judge the world in righteousness, finally defeat evil, and bring God’s work of restoration to completion. His kingdom will have no end.
We hold tightly to the promised return of Jesus and more humbly to precise explanations of how every detail will unfold. The important thing is that we look forward to the day when all things will be made new, and we live with expectant hearts because Jesus is coming!
